Pakistan needs no more nuclear tests, Khan says

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan - Abdul Qadeer Khan, Pakistan's best-known nuclear scientist, speaks in an interview with Kyodo News at his Islamabad residence Aug. 16. NARITA, Japan - Three children arrive at Narita airport, east of Tokyo, on Aug. 7 as members of a group of 40 Russian and Ukrainian children aged 10 to 16 suffering from the effects of the 1986 Chernobyl nuclear accident. Group members will go to Japan's northernmost main island of Hokkaido to undergo blood tests at Hokkaido University's School of Medicine until Aug. 22. The children were invited by the Japanese government.

The photo, taken on June 22, shows the base in the Haibei Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture in Qinghai Province, western China.
